All India Institute of Medical Science, Bhopal (AIIMS, Bhopal) is observing Swachhta Pakhwada (Sanitation fortnight), 2019 from April 1 to 15.
The Swachhta Pakhwada was inaugurated by Prof Sarman Singh, Director, AIIMS, Bhopal by administering
‘Swachhta Pledge’ to all Faculty members, officers and staff on April 1, 2019. Speaking on the occasion, Prof Sarman Singh highlighted the importance of cleanliness by citing the example of the life of Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi and requested all employees to ensure cleanliness around their workplace in entire campus including Hospital, Colleges, Residential Area and Surroundings of the Institute.
On the occasion of inauguration of Swachhta Pakhwada, Herbal saplings were planted in the Herbal Garden of AYUSH premises of the Institute, which was presided over by Prof Sarman Singh, Director.
During the Pakhwada, AIIMS, Bhopal will organize various activities related to cleanliness awareness as Cleanliness drive, plantation, Nukkad Natak, Cleaning Kit Distribution, Special rally for awareness on hygiene, Drawing & Painting Competition, Quiz on Bio-Medical Waste etc. in the nearby area of AIIMS, Bhopal.
AIIMS, Bhopal, has been conducting various Programs related to cleanliness under Swachhta Action Plan and continuous efforts are being made to connect common mass of its surrounding area with this campaign.
During the programme, Prof (Dr) Manisha Shrivastava, Deputy Director (Admin) Santosh Sohgaura, Dr Mahendra Singh, Professor (Consultant), Financial
Advisor Capt PK Mishra, Jitnedra Kumar Saxena, Superintending Engineer, all HODs, Faculty Members, Officers, Nursing Staff and other officers, students etc participated.
