Agitating guest teachers warn State Govt over demands

Ruckus was created between  agitating guest teachers and police officials on Saturday here even as the administration suspended their permission to continue the protest on Sunday.

However, few hours later, guest teachers got the permission to continue their protest at the Ambedkar ground in Second Stop area of the State Capital as they sat on the road in front of the ground.

Madhya Pradesh Youth Congress president Kunal Choudhary also reached the protest venue in order to support the guest teachers.

Notably, under the banner of Sanyukta Atithi Shikshak Sangh, the guest teachers are protesting against the State Government regarding their five-point demands including regularisation at the Ambedkar ground of the city.

The guest teachers were particularly unhappy with the then Minister of State for School Education, Paras Jain, who promised them on January 19, 2016 that their demands would be fulfilled soon but the Government took no action on the demands.

While talking to The Pioneer on Sunday, Sangh’s member Jagdish Shastri said that DSP RD Bharadwaj had permitted the guest teachers on Saturday to continue the protest but anyhow, he suspended the permission on Sunday.

Raged guest teachers sat on the road in front of the park in order to get the permission back. However, guest teachers got the permission as Youth Congress president Kunal choudhary talked to the police officials.

Shastri further said the guest teachers have warned the BJP-led State Government that the BJP would bear the loss in the upcoming elections if the demands of the guest teachers remained unfulfilled. The guest teachers have that strength to change the fate of the elections. Guest teachers would also initiate the state level agitation soon in order to get the demands fulfilled.
