After 10 years, Cong may come to power in MP, says Mohan

Claiming that the main Opposition in the State Assembly Congress would come to power in Madhya Pradesh after a decade’s gap, party general secretary and State in-charge Mohan Prakash said that a legislator not an outsider would don the Chief Minister’s mantle.

While talking to mediapersons here on Saturday, Mohan Prakash said, “The Congress always respects the mandate and party workers should maintain it. Action will be initiated against those who oppose the mandate.” While saying that most officials are honest, Mr Prakash apprehended that some who are working in the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party”s favour might be biased and urged workers to identify such officials.

To a query, he said the party had already drawn the Election Commission of India”s attention to several lacunae during electioneering but this was not the appropriate forum to discuss such matters. Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee President Kantilal Bhuria claimed that the party would emerge victorious in 125 to 135 constituencies.
