'Adi Anadi' painting exhibition concludes

A solo exhibition by a young artist Anup Shrivastava 'Adi Anadi' concluded here at Alliance Française de Art Gallery, Bhopal on Thursday.

"These paintings are shadows of those memories which I gained during the journey of my surroundings," says the young artist.

While talking about the show, Anup said, "Adi Anadi is my first solo show of my paintings and I felt really excited to exhibit my perception before the Bhopalites."

Anup has exhibited as many as 18 paintings. Anup said, "I paint trees, mountains, river fields, tribes on canvas through the lines. Colours are not pre-planned in my paintings, they come constantly as I paint over canvas,

which gives direction to my paintings."

Notably, Anup is a talented young artist who has been exploring rural life in his paintings through colours and forms.

In the last two years he has painted hundreds of

canvases just to be at ease with the subject he is

working on. He is not interested in depicting the reality as it is but his analytical approach that forces him to find a new way of realising the reality with a pictorial sensibility.

He is dynamic yet very silent in his works. He explores the beauty of forms and the new relationship between colour tones.

The existence of human being has no history so he likes to call this Adi-Anadi.

Adi Anadi is all about time but without a clue of its beginning and its end.

This occasion was like a mass treat for the art lovers of the city as they witnessed creativity in abundance.
