The adhyapaks of the state will agitate for sixth pay scale and their merger in the Education Department from June 16. They have decided to agitate by locking the government schools and boycotting Pravesh Utsav of the State Government. The adhyapaks will also protest through indefinite hunger strike and staging dharna at district levels.
While talking to the media persons here on Tuesday, State president of Adhyapak Samvida Sanyukt Morcha (ASSM) Brijesh Sharma said that on the one side, the Chief Minister is ignoring the problems faced by the adhyapak cadres, while on the other, the adhyapaks are being blamed of protesting all the time.
He further said that this is the first time that a decision passed by the cabinet is postponed by the Chief Minister though the decision was taken with his consent.
Sharma further said that the government is forcefully implying adhyapaks in M-Shiksha Mitra Scheme. This scheme should be applied on all the officials and employees of the State, he said, adding, “We will strongly protest against this scheme.”
The State Convener of ASSM Manohar Dubey said that the Chief Minister must take strong steps to secure the future of three lakh adhyapaks. The State Co-convener of ASSM Rakesh Nayak said that the adhyapaks would have not protested, had the government resolved the issue in time.
Nayak stated that BJP Government is ruling the State for past 13 years and in these years the government could not solve the issues of the adhyapaks.
Decision on pension, gratuity, transfer policy, insurance policy and appointment on compassionate grounds were taken by the cabinet, yet they were not applied.
