An actress of South Indian films, Khushi Mukherjee, who is here in connection with the shooting of a Bollywood film, has levelled molestation charges against the staff of the hotel where she was staying for the past few days.
However, the hotel staff and management claimed that the actress was probably making such allegations to gain cheap publicity. In a written complaint to the police, the actress has alleged that when she was sleeping in her room, an employee of the hotel entered the room and attempted to molest her.
The hotel management claimed that the allegations of the actress were baseless. They stated that on Thursday night she was found intoxicated and was supported by two youths. The actress, Khushi, is in Bhopal for the past two weeks in connection with the shooting of a Bollywood film. She had acted in Tamil film ‘Anjalturai’ in 2013 and later in two Telugu films- ‘Dongaprema’ and ‘Heartattack’.
She told the police that on the day of the incident, the employee identified as Deepak had entered her room and tried to touch her. When she cried for help, he fled from the spot. She further alleged that despite having informed the hotel management about the incident, it did not take any action against the offender.
Hotel manager Abdul Zamir said that the allegations were baseless. The door of the room was lying open till 3 o’clock in the night and when the employee reached the room and rang the bell informing Khushi to close the door, she started shouting. Meanwhile, the police have registered a criminal case against the hotel employee and were investigating the case.
