An action plan has been chalked out to generate energy from waste in Rewa and Satna Municipal Corporations and Nagar Panchayat. Collected waste will be disposed of scientifically. Besides, organic fertilisers will also be made using waste.
Presently, 50 acre barren land has been selected at village Bandha on the outskirts of Rampur Baghelan in Satna district to set up the plant. On the initiative of Energy Minister Rajendra Shukla, Urban Development and Environment Department is finalising this cluster-based project.
Shukla inspected the project site. Shukla said that this plant will be very useful in making the state self-reliant in energy sector. Waste from Rewa and Satna urban bodies will be brought to the plant at selected land on outskirts of Bandha village. At the plant, energy and organic fertilisers will be produced using waste. Establishment of this plant will also ensure local bodies’ success in Swachchhata Mission.
