In view the Lok Sabha elections, the Excise Department in Dhar district took action against illegal liquor centers in the Excise circle Dhar and registered 5 cases. As per the orders of Dhar Collector Priyank Mishra and under the guidance of Assistant Excise Commissioner, Dhar Vikramdeep Sangar, Assistant District Excise Officer R.S Rai led special campaign against illegal liquor, raids were conducted in villages Surajpura, Padalya, Bhutiya in circle Dhar. A total of 4 cases were registered under Section 34(1) of the Excise Act 1915 and 01 case under Section 34(2), in which 10800 kg of Mahua Lahan was destroyed by taking a sample on the spot and 410 bulk liters of hand kiln liquor was seized.
5 cases were registered under the Excise Act 1915.
The estimated value of the above material is Rs.11,41,500. Excise Sub Inspector Rajkumar Shukla, S I Akansha Garg, S I Jaya Mujalde and S I Munendra Singh Jadaun were the part of raid team.
