Appalling scenes were witnessed on Saturday at the district court premises here when an accused was dragged out by four police personnel to produce him in the court.
Anees Khan, an accused of possessing illegal arms, was produced in the court on Saturday but in a high-handed manner as he was dragged by police personnel from the parking of the court premises to court where hearing was scheduled.
Superintendent of Police Bhopal (North) Arvind Saxens said that accused Anees Khan was booked for more than two dozen cases of theft, burglary, assault, attempt to murder and illegal arms possession. He was a habitual offender and was heavily addicted to drugs and on Friday night also he was caught creating ruckus in his locality. The locals have raised several complaints against him in the past.
The police defended the act and said that the accused was not willing to enter the court due to which he was dragged to the court. More shockingly the accused was brought to the court with only his underclothes on while the pant and shirt were missing.
The cops faced problems right from the beginning, as when the accused was brought to the court he refused to come down from police vehicle and after several attempts when the police personnel failed to brought him out of the vehicle they forcefully dragged him out of the vehicle and dragged him till the court.
Police claimed that the accused was roaming with a sharp edged weapon on the eve of Dusshera and creating ruckus in the locality. After receiving the information a police team was rushed to the spot was nabbed by the police.
