A 45-year-old man, who was hit by a speeding vehicle at Qazi Camp on Sunday, died while undergoing treatment at Hamidia hospital on Monday.
According to the police, an injured man was rushed to a nearby hospital where he died on Monday during treatment. Police were informed and on the receipt of the information a team reached the spot and started investigation.
The body was sent for the post mortem and a case under section 304 A of the IPC was registered against the errant driver. The deceased was a resident of Nishatpura and had gone for some work in Qazi Camp area. He was walking at the time of the incident.
Meanwhile, a 22-year-old married died after she sustained burn injuries at Banjari under Kolar police station area on Monday.
The deceased identified as Ambika was rushed to a nearby hospital after she sustained burn injuries at her house where he died during treatment.
The husband and in-laws have told the police that the deceased sustained burn injuries while cooking. Police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC after the body was sent for the post mortem. The further investigation has been started and the reason behind the death would be
investigated.
It was a suicide or the deceased was set ablaze could not be ascertained at the moment and after receiving the post mortem and completing the investigation details regarding the death could be revealed. The statements of the husband and in-laws are yet to be recorded, said the police.
