Regional Organisational Secretary of Ahkil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) Vishnudutt Sharma has on Friday claimed that the ABVP has no role in the BDS examination scam.
While speaking with the media persons on Friday in the state capital, Sharma told that exam centre in-charge in Barkatullah University Kalika Yadav has been safeguarded by Governor House and he questioned investigation by Special Task Force (STF) as the ABVP has lodged a complaint with the MP Nagar police against former Chairman of Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB) VK Samtre and retired IAS officer Ranjana Choudhary and demanded to lodge an FIR against them but till date no action has been taken.
Justifying the stance of opposing Pt Kushilal Ayurveda College as exam centre Sharma said that demand was raised to save students from inconvenience.
The college is located far due to which students would have faced problems in commuting and reaching on time at the exam centre. Sole intention of ABVP was to provide relief to the students and no other work was undertaken by ABVP.
Earlier STF summoned a Rupesh Dixit, an office-bearer of ABVP who had submitted a memorandum to the Barkatullah University seeking transfer of examination centre for the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) examination this year but the letter did not bear any signature of activists, which raised suspicion.
Surprisingly the next morning the demand was accepted without verifying the letter which has raised suspicion on the officials who took swift action.
The STF has now decided to summon Ranjana Choudhary for questioning. The STF has also raided the resident of OP Shukla - officer on special duty (OSD) to the former public relation minister laxmikant Sharma to probe his alleged role in the scam.
