Absconding accused involved in attacking SI of Uttar Pradesh STF and constable of crime branch Bhopal at Habibganj last year was nabbed on July 3, produced in the court on Sunday and has been sent to judicial custody.Kapil Dixit the absconding accused involved in attacking police personnel with notorious criminal Anshu Dixit and Anup Dixit was nabbed by lucknow STF and was handed over to crime branch Bhopal on transit remand and was produced in the court on Sunday where the court has sent the accused under police remand of five days.
Notably, notorious criminal Anshu Dixit who was in jail on murder charges had escaped from UP’s Sitapur jail and when UP Special Task Force found out his location in Bhopal and came to nab him on September 27, 2014 they were attacked. Acting on tip off ASI of UPSTF Sandeep Mishra and two constables crime branch Bhopal regarding Anshu’s location in Habibganj but faced bullet injuries after the accused opened fired injuring Mishra and constable Raghvendra Pandey.
In the attack Sub Inspector Sandeep Mishra of UP STF sustained bullet injuries in and constable of crime branch Bhopal Raghvendra Pandey who tried to grab the miscreants sustained injuries.Anshu Dixit was nabbed by UPSTF and was later provided to crime branch Bhopal under transit remand during which the pistol used in the attack and two other pistols were recovered by the police. During their absconding, the accused rented house in the city by producing fake documents and those who helped the miscreants were also nabbed.
