The Jehangirabad police have nabbed an absconding accused carrying a reward of Rs 5000 ; accused has been booked for 10 cases and 4 preventive actions have been taken against him in the past.
In the past, the accused identified as Nikki alias Nikendra (22) has been booked for theft, keeping illegal weapons and preventive actions by Jehangirabad, Kotwali, Shymala Hills and Mangalwara police stations.
The accused was absconding for over 7 months after he was found stealing floor tiles from a godown where he used to work. On February 29, Syed Rahat Ali lodged a complaint with the Jehangirabad police regarding stealing of floor tiles by his workers Nikki and Shubham Khede.
The victim asked Azam, who works at his shop to check godown and when he went to godown Nikki and Shubham were found with six boxes of floor tiles and after spotting Azam they escaped the spot.
Victim lodged a complaint with the police and based on the complaint a case under section 381 of the IPC was registered.
Police arrested Shubham during the investigation but Nikki managed to remain absconding. During the investigation police received information that Nikki came to meet his family at Barkhedi and acting promptly he was arrested.
Accused is a watch list criminal of Jehangirabad police and preventive action was taken against him in the past and as he is not able to mend his ways action of externment would be taken against the accused by Jehangirabad police.
