AAP raises questions over EVM fault inquiry report

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) here on Monday raised questions over the enquiry report on EVM in the Ater by-election and alleged that the report is mere eyewash and demanded that to save the democracy elections should be held with the ballot paper.

AAP Madhya Pradesh convener Alok Agarwal addressing media persons here on Monday said, “The Election Commission of India (ECI) in its report over the issue of Bhind said that no anomaly was found in the EVM – VVPAT. We have serious doubts over the report and we are of the view that the report was released while covering up the rigging in the voting device.”

Agarwal said that we doubt over the ECI report because the enquiry committee does not questioned the journalists who were witnessed to the issue besides the report does not have any mention of the threat given to the journalists present on the occasion by the Madhya Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer Saleena Singh.

Exhibiting a video in that the persons standing with the MP CEO are saying ‘press any button 1, 2, 3, or 4’ and the sentence is completed by Saleena Singh by saying ‘slip of only Satyadev comes out,’ Agarwal said that when the CEO herself is admitting that whatever button is pressed the slip of only BJP is coming out than how come the ECI’s enquiry team denied of any anomaly in the EVM – VVPAT.

He said that the sequence of events and the facts create a big question mark over the credibility of enquiry report. It appears that this report has been presented to deceive the people and the ECI is trying to hide the abnormalities of the EVM.

The weird thing is that wherever the anomaly is found in the EVM it votes only to BJP why an EVM voting to other than BJP has been found, he questioned.
