Aam Admi Party (AAP) has criticised the State government for ridiculing the poverty of poor people in the State capital by distributing them with poor quality wheat mixed with soil.
Spokesperson of the AAP Neha Bagga told that the flood in Bhopal was outcome of the mismanagement of the administration in drainage system. When people were trying to overcome the shock of flood, the government ridiculed the poor people by distributing such wheat, she added.
AAP activists on Wednesday reached Rajiv Nagar slums to expose the State government.
Seeing the distributed wheat, Bagga appealed Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and his cabinet colleagues to eat chapattis made of this wheat.
State Secretary of AAP Akshay Hunka told that such an act with citizens of the State would not be tolerated further.
He stated that the Chief Minister should have courage to each chapattis made of the same wheat that has been distributed to poor people in the State capital.
Both the leaders have said that such irregularities would continue to galore in Madhya Pradesh unless the State government puts an end to the middlemen system. Such an incident clearly indicates that the State government has no control over the system that has become more and more corrupt.
Both the leaders have demanded that the flood victims should be provided with adequate compensation and good quality food-grains. Besides, immediate action should be taken against guilty, whether for the flood or the poor quality wheat distribution, they added.
