The Congress' agitation is being viewed as an outcome of the party's internal conflict. This was evident with the absence of five senior most legislators of the party from the agitation. The senior members who are not visible in the whole episode are - Dr Govind Singh, KP Singh, Mahendra Singh Kalukheda, Ajay Singh and Arif Aqeel. Since PCC chief Arun Yadav and leader of the Opposition Satyadev Katare are facing action, in the presence of Congress general secretary Digvijay, they felt that they would continue agitation in the Assembly itself. Notably, when the Congress leaders are busy in agitation, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has been in the field in the past one week and compensation is being distributed among hail-hit farmers. Political observers feel that this agitation has certainly put on hold the heat of the MP Professional Examination Board (MPPEB) scam that is being highlighted by Digvijay Singh.
