A 40-year-old farmer was found dead under suspicious circumstances at Bilkharia on Thursday. Police said that a man was found dead at a farm house after he went missing in the evening on Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Ranbeer Singh Thaur of Chawani Pathar. He was declared dead when taken to a nearby hospital. After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem. A case under section 174 of the CrPC was registered by the police.
During the investigation police have recovered a bottle of poison which was possibly consumed by the deceased.
Police have not recovered any suicide note which could help in revealing the reason behind the suicide but the circumstantial evidences suggest that the deceased committed suicide still the post mortem report is awaited that would help in revealing the reason behind the suicide.
Meanwhile, a 33-year-old man committed suicide by hanging with the ceiling at Naya Basera under Kamla Nagar police area on Thursday.
The deceased Durga Prasad was found hanging at his residence by his cousin who informed family members and later he was taken to hospital where he was declared dead.
Police were informed and after preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem. The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
Reason remained unknown and would be investigated in the further investigation, said police. The uncle of deceased told the police that nothing happened which forced him to commit suicide.
