The two-day 74th HRD heads’ meet was inaugurated by DK Thakur, ED, Bhopal in the presence of esteemed delegates from Corporate Office and HRD heads of other units. The important dignitaries were Babulal, ED (ClD), Rekha Bharadwaj, GM (ClD), MS Kinra, GM(Quality & HR) and other officials.
D Bandyopadhyay, Director (HR) interacted with the dignitaries through video conferencing and shared about changing business scenario. He emphasized the necessity of Training and Skill development for competing in market. HRDC are to be focused on utility/return of the training due to the limited resources.
He also opined, learning is a continuous process and it is vital for the company to focus on training and development in order to capture the new opportunities/avenues available in the dynamic business market. HRDCs across the Corporation have a very strong role to play in making tomorrow’s BHEl. Manpower has to be technically trained in new areas of Defense, Aerospace business, Water ways, Non coal based power plants, Renewable Energy.
ED Bhopal in his address communicated that there is no full stop in learning and Human Resources is the life and backbone of any organization. He elaborated that ClD Group has an important role in building a Teamwork culture throughout the organisation.
ED (ClD) empathetically communicated that HRD is the place where you produce leaders. Aligning l& D with changing business is the need of the hour and learning culture has to be a continual culture.
GM (Quality & HR) emphasised that learning is a continuous process and the role of ClD is very important for promoting a learning culture in view of the fast changing Product Mix as BHEl is entering into new Business ventures.
GM (ClD opined that learning & Development (l&D) Group has to play a vital role in enhancing the knowledge, skill and attitude of our people which will improve the Quality and Performance of the company as a whole. At the end of the function, Vote of thanks was proposed by Amitabh Dubey, AGM (HRDC) Bhopal.
