A 70-year-old man died on Tuesday who was found in an injured stated at New Market area on January 25, TT Nagar police have started investigation. Police said that late in the evening an elderly man was hit by an unidentified vehicle and rushed to a nearby hospital where he died during treatment on Tuesday.
The deceased was later identified as Devi Singh, the deceased was involved in selling filter material. After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem and a case under section 304 A of the IPC was registered.
The details of the vehicle were not noticed due to dark in the evening. Police have started to search for the errant driver. It could not be ascertained that the errant driver was in an inebriated state or the driver lost control and hit the deceased.
Meanwhile, a 32-year-old woman committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling at her residence in Sunaheri Bagh under Habibganj police station area on Friday; woman worked with Physiotherapy department of RGVP College.
According to the police, the deceased Tulsa Bai was found hanging in the afternoon by the family members. Police were informed and based on the information a police team reached the spot and started investigation.
Police have not found any suicide note and no reason was found behind the suicide. The statements of the family members have to be recorded which could help in revealing the reason behind the death.
The body was sent for the post mortem after the preliminary investigation. The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
