In a heart-wrenching incident, a seven-month-old baby girl died after she slipped from her mother’s hand from the terrace of Chirayu Hospital on Tuesday afternoon. In a bid to save her children, when her mother jumped but failed to save but got multiple fractures, the Khajuri police said.
The deceased identified as Divanshi was taken to the hospital by her mother Akhilesh Kuswaha(23).
Town Inspector of the Khajuri police station, Suryakant Awasthi said, “Akhilesh along with her seven month old baby girl Divyanshi had gone to Chirayu hospital where her baby fell from her hands and later in a bid to save her she jumped from the terrace and got injured.”
During police investigation, the woman claimed that she came to the hospital with her baby and when she bend to look from the terrace the baby slipped from her hands and unable to understand she jumped after the baby.
Police said that the woman is reportedly stable.
During the investigation police found that the woman took her baby to the terrace for sunlight as the baby was suffering from cold and cough.
A case has been registered and probe is on.
