Seven persons, including four children were killed and 25 others injured when a car collided with a bus near Barehgaon on the Morena-Ambah National Highway, on Tuesday morning.
The accident took place near Barehgaon, about 20 kms from Morena, when relatives of former corporator were returning in a car after attending a marriage function at Porsa.
The deceased included four children and two women travelling in the car, and a bus of passengers.Those killed in the mishap have been identified as - Kanchhi, Rudrapratap, Nidhi and Golu (all children in the age group of 8-10 years), Neetu, Sonali and bus passenger Rajat.
The post-mortem of the bodies was conducted following which they were handed over to their kin, police said, adding that a case has been registered in connection with the mishap.
In the accident bus also turned upside down killing one passenger and injuring many others. They were admitted to the Morena hospital. The accident took between bus numbers MP06P0450 and the car -Maruti Swift with number UP86HA4100.
The deceased included Nitu Rajawat of Porsa, Kanchi Sikarwar Gopalpura Morena, Sonali, Nidhi, Rudrapratap and Rajat Sisodiya. The bus conductor Deepak Rana also died in the accident.
In another accident a boy died in the hospital when the tractor trolley in which he was travelling upturned at Vivekanand Needam.The Jhansi road police registered case against the tractor driver whne the family members of deceased reached the police station and demanded arrest of the driver and compensation.
According to information the tractor trolley upturned due to carelessness of the driver where he was dring near the railway track by the Vivekanand needam road on Monday. In the accident Chhotu was admitted in the hospital for the treatment where he died. The Jhansi road police registered a case against the tractor driver on the report of Sunil s/o Darshan lal Rajak. The police seized the tractor trolley.
