A total of 601 warrants including 282 permanent and 297 and 22 bailable warrants were executed during the combing patrol on the night of June 20, keeping in view the peace and security system during the upcoming elections and control of crimes by the Urban (district ) police, Bhopal.
Around 1200 officers and employees executed 601 warrants in combing patrol in 7 hours. After the commissionerate system, about 1370 permanent and arrest warrants have been made in three combing patrols.
Combing patrol was conducted on June 21. Before the combing patrol, Additional Commissioner of Police Sachin Atulkar briefed all the staff and gave necessary guidelines and made 5 teams in each police station to nab the accused and warranties.
Combing patrolling was started from around 11 pm and was done till around 5 am. During the combing patrol, a total of 601 warrants including 282 permanent warrants and 297 arrest warrants and 22 bailable warrants were served in a span of only 7 hours, as well as more than 265 history-sheeters were checked. Earlier, 268 permanent/arrest warrants were served on the night of 05 February 22 and 511 permanent/ arrest warrants were served on the night of March 25.
During the special operation conducted in the intervening night, the Deputy Commissioner of Police Zone 1, 2, 3, 4 and Crime along with all the Additional Deputy Commissioners of Police, Assistant Commissioners of Police and all the station in-charges were present in the field during the combing patrol and monitored continuously.
