A 55-year old woman was mowed down in front of Chirayu Medical College and hospital at Bairagarh road under Khajuri police station area in the afternoon on Thursday.
According to the police, a woman was injured severely after she was hit by a speeding car while crossing road in the afternoon in front of Chirayu Medical College and hospital and was rushed to the hospital where she died during treatment.
The deceased was identified as Dhankunwar Bai who hailed from Icchawar. During the investigation police found that the deceased came to Chirayu Medical College and hospital to visit her relative undergoing treatment and was on her way back to home she met accident. The accident took place at 3.30 pm while the deceased was crossing road near the hospital.
Police said that the car bearing registration number MP04-TA-4998 hit the deceased and based on the number the search has been started and the errant driver would be nabbed soon. The police have registered a case under section 304 A of the IPC and have started further investigation.
Meanwhile, a 31-year-old man died after he fell from terrace of his house at Rahul Nagar under Kamla Nagar police station area on Wednesday.
According to the police the deceased Dharampal was grievously injured after he fell from the terrace and was rushed to Hajela hospital where he died during treatment.
After the preliminary investigation the police have sent the body for the post mortem. The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC.
