A 50-year-old woman was robbed of her gold chain worth Rs 60,000 at Jain Nagar under Koh-e-Fiza police station area late night on Friday.
According to the police on Friday the victim Renu Saxena had gone to distribute invitation cards of marriage and while she was on her to a relative's house at Jain Nagar two bike-borne youth came from behind, snatched gold chain and sped off.
Before the victim could raise an alarm the miscreants managed to escape. She was only able to confirm that the two bike borne miscreants in the age-group of 20-25 robbed her gold chain but was not able to reveal other details as she was not able to notice any other thing due to darkness.
The victim approached the Koh-e-Fiza police station and lodged a complaint. At the time of the incident the victim was accompanied by one of her woman friends which lured the miscreants and provided them an easy chance of robbery.
The victim is a resident of Saeed Nagar. She has claimed that the gold chain was weighed around 20 gm.
