Finance and Commercial Taxes Minister Jagdish Deora has urged the GST Council to eliminate the double tax system on the basis of end use of sugarcane, sawdust, peel etc. obtained from the milling of pulses and keep these items in the tax free category.
In the 48th meeting of the GST Council held on saturday, through video conference. Minister Deora expressed his views on several issues.
Principal Secretary Commercial Taxes Deepali Rastogi and Commissioner Lokesh Kumar Jatav also took part. Various issues were discussed in the meeting.
Deora thanked the Council for considering Madhya Pradesh’s proposal to make the registration process effective.
