A 45-year-old man committed suicide by consuming poisonous substance at his Ahir Colony residence under Jehangirabad police station area on Tuesday. The reason behind his taking this extreme step is yet to be known.
According to the police, the deceased Prakash Yadav was found in an unconscious state and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead.
Police said that the deceased consumed Cellphos tablets which caused his death.
After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem and the police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
The deceased used to work as a labour and used to live at Ahir Colony. The statements of the family members are yet to be recorded said the police.
Meanwhile, a 28-year-old man drowned at Alam Nagar under Ratibad police station area on Tuesday.
Family members have claimed that the death occurred under suspicious circumstances.
According to the police a body was found near a culvert The deceased was identified as Altaf Khan. He used to run a meat shop and was a resident of Alam Nagar.
