These preterm born babies were delivered in eight months by cesarean procedure. Weight of the babies was 1600 grams each. Looking to the gradually weakening physical condition of babies, the parents were advised to admit them in SNCU of any referral hospital.
Twin babies were named Meesha and Mahira. Father Sonu is a carpenter and his financial condition is not good. So the parents brought their babies in Govt. Jai Prakash Hospital Bhopal and get them admitted in the SNCU of the hospital. After the completion of one month treatment in the SNCU, the babies were discharged from the hospital with a note to consult any Pediatric Retina specialist without wasting time.
The parents then brought their babies in Govt. district hospital Sehore from where they were referred to Sewa Sadan Eye Hospital. Pediatric Retina specialist of SSEH Dr Sonal Paliwal and Sr Retina Optometrist Ajay Narwariya examined both babies and found that retina of elder Meesha is normal, while immediate laser procedure should be performed on younger baby Mahira.
