A 40-year-old woman, who had sustained burn injuries at her residence in Shiv Nagar under Piplani police station area on June 13, died while undergoing treatment at Hamidia hospital on Thursday.
According to the police the deceased laxmi Bai sustained burn injuries at her house on June 13 and was rushed to a nearby hospital where her condition was reportedly critical.
The condition of the deceased was critical and further deteriorated on Wednesday and she died on Thursday. After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem. The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
Police said that the deceased sustained 80 percent burns. The reason of the burn injuries would be investigated during the further investigation.
Meanwhile, a 27-year-old man committed suicide by hanging with a tree near Dussehra ground under TT Nagar police station area on Thursday.
The deceased Vishnu Prasad was found hanging with a tree near Dussehra ground and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead.
The deceased was a habitual drinker and would fight and assault his wife and children after consuming liquor and frustrated over the frequent harassment and atrocities his wife threatened that she would complaint with the police regarding his acts.
Police have not found any reason behind the suicide and have started investigation. Family members of the deceased and her in-laws would be questioned regarding the reason of the death of the deceased.
