A 40-year-old man was beaten to death by four persons on a petty issue at Itkhedi under Gunga police station area on Wednesday.
Police said the incident took place when the victim, identified as Rambharose Ahirwar, was on his way to home around 10 pm and further informed that his neighbour Mukesh started abusing him that angered him. The two were engaged in a brawl which was soon joined by Dinish, Ashok and Suresh.
The four roughed up the victim and before locals came to his rescue, the four escaped the spot.
The victim was rushed to Hamidia hospital where he died during treatment in the wee hours on Thursday.
Police disclosed that the accused were heavily drunk and in the same condition they started a fight with the victim which turned nasty after the victim was beaten by wooden rods.
The police have registered a case under Section 302 of the IPC. No arrests have been made till the filing of this report.
Meanwhile, a 5-month-old foetus was found in Shahpura area on Thursday.
Police confirmed that the foetus was found which is in decomposed state which has been lying in the area and was spotted by a local.
The police have registered a case under Section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
