Four miscreants were nabbed near Bal Vihar at Hamidia road planning dacoity. The police recovered one country made pistol, two cartridges, two sharp edged weapons, nylon rope and chilli powder from their possession on Wednesday.
Acting on a tip off regarding some miscreants planning dacoity, two teams were formed and were rushed to the spot and nabbed four miscreants, while one of the miscreants managed to escape.
The nabbed accused were identified as Mukhtar Ali alias Raja Ali (34), Hasan Ali alias Hasni (20), Jitendra Rai (24) of Nishatpura and Ising Pardi (22) of Berasia while the absconding accused was identified as Zaheer Abbas.
During the investigation when Hasan who hails from Beed Maharashtra was quizzed confessed that they have a gang which includes his brother and others also.
The gang confessed that they have committed several crimes across the country and have been booked at different police station of the country.
The gang gathered at the spot to rob an ATM which would be used for marriage of the Hasan who was scheduled to marry in Aman Colony with Siraj Irani’s daughter. The police have registered a case under section 399, 402 of the IPC and section 25 and 27 of the Arms Act.
Meanwhile in a joint effort MP Nagar and crime branch have nabbed an absconding accused of robbery and carrying a cash reward of Rs 10000; accused was nabbed from Shahpura area who was wanted in robbery on December 22, 2016.
The nabbed accused Akshay Rathore along with Shubham Mishra have robbed a bag carrying a mobile phone and Rs 10000 cash.
Police managed to nab Shubham but Akshay was absconding in Mumbai and when he came to the city on Wednesday he was nabbed.
