A four-day theatre festival is being organised for the theatre lovers to enjoy the theatre activities. Organised by Trikarshi Theatre Group, Bhopal, the fest began here from Friday at Antrang Hall, Bharat Bhavan.

While informing about the theatre fest, KG Trivedi informed that this theatre festival is being organised under the regular series of theatre activities of Trikarshi group. He further informed that these theatrical presentations are not only staged in Bhopal but also have been staged a lot of times in other parts of the country and has received a huge response by the theatre lovers.

In April 22, the theatre lovers would watch a play that defines the untold desires of people, who grow old with sacrifices all their life. A Hindi play Bas Itna Sa Khwab Hai would be performed to mark the third day of the theatre fest.

The play is written by an eminent author who also hails from the city, Srikant Apte and is directed by a well known theatre director of Bhopal, KG Trivedi. The artists of Trikashi theatre group would present the play before the audiences.

The play showcases the unfulfilled desires of two retired friends. It shares the desires of Sadananda Joshi, who wish to change his attire from a simple kurta-pyjama to T-shirt and pants.

KG Trivedi said told The Pioneer, “It is a very simple satire script. The script undoubtedly lessens the gap between the audiences and the theatre plays, as the audiences could relate their stories with the story of the play.”

“I feel that there is not much difference between a five year old child and a 60 year old man. It is present in our nature to fulfill all the desires of a child but, think twice before even listening to a small wish of our elders. This mentality needs to be changed,” Trivedi said.
