Kidnappers, who had attempted to kidnap a 24-year-old girl in MP Nagar on April 4 were nabbed by crime branch Bhopal. The four miscreants Amir Khan and Tayyab Siddiqui, Bilal Khan and Saif Khan involved in crime were caught from Ghora Nakkas area of the old city.
After the arrest, four accused were handed over to MP Nagar where the case was registered against the accused on a complaint by the victim.
SHO of MP Nagar police Suryakant Awasthi said that the accused were nabbed from Ghora Nakkas area. Amir and Tayyab provided details of the other two accused who were identified as Bilal Khan and Saif Khan. The accused were produced in the court and were sent under judicial custody.
Amir’s father work as driver while Tayyab runs a medical store in Ghora Nakkas area while the details of the other two would be investigated, he added.
During the investigation police found that the victim and accused became friends through facebook and later entered in relationship but the victim broke the relationship around a month ago and developed relationship with Arpit who was with her at the time of the incident.
Frustrated from the newly developed relationship the main accused Amir asked her to accompany him in his car which she resisted but the accused pulled her inside the car and before the car could gain speed the victim jumped off the car and raised alarm for help. The accused managed to escape the spot. The victim is a resident of Shahdol and came to city to pursue her studies at IIFT.
