Nishatpura police have booked four miscreants for attacking a 22-year-old shopkeeper with sharp edged weapons at Karond on Monday.
Police said that an injured youth was rushed to hospital after he was attacked by four miscreants where his condition is reportedly critical.
The victim identified as Faizan Khan was attacked by Irfan, Imran, Azeem and Zaid when the victim was in Karond area. In his complaint victim stated that the four appeared and one of the accused Irfan alleged that Faizan has informed crime branch and due to which he was nabbed and later severed jail and attacked with sharp edged weapon in his stomach while the three others also attacked the victim with sharp edged weapons.
The victim was injured badly and was profusely bleeding when he was rushed to hospital in ambulance.
Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under section 307 of the IPC and started further investigation.
Late in the night police have conducted raid at several places but failed to find the accused and search has been intensified.
The main accused Irfan Chapati is a habitual criminal and has been booked for several crimes by Nishatpura and different police stations. He was the master mind behind the attack. Three of the accomplices of Irfan also hold crime record and have been involved in criminal activities with Irfan in different parts of the state capital. Till the filing of the report the accused remained absconding and search for the four accused continued.
