A 37-year-old man died after their scooter was hit by a speeding car at second number stop under TT Nagar police station area on Sunday.
According to the police, a man riding the scooter was severely injured after their scooter was hit by a speeding vehicle and was rushed to nearby hospital where he was declared dead.
The deceased was identified as Umesh Dahaya of Kamla Nagar who was hit by a speeding car in a bid to overtake the scooter at second number stop.
Deceased used to live in Kamla Nagar. The vehicle remained unidentified as registration number and other details of vehicle were not found in the investigation.
Police said that at the time of the incident the road was having less traffic even after that the scooter was hit which suggests that the errant car driver was speeding and failed to control car from hitting the scooter.
The body was sent for the post mortem after the preliminary investigation.
The police have registered a case under section 304 A of the IPC and have started further investigation to search the errant vehicle and driver who escaped with the vehicle.
Meanwhile, a 30-year-man died on Sunday who was injured after his scooter skid at Bairagarh Chichli on July 2 ; Kolar police have started investigation.
Police said that an injured man was rushed to a nearby hospital where he died during treatment. The deceased identified as Amit Meena was on his way to home when he met accident.
The police was informed and on the receipt a police team reached the spot and started investigation.
After the preliminary investigation police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and started further investigation. The deceased was a farmer.
