Khajuri police arrested a 36-year-old man for sexually assaulting a married woman who went to ask her facilitating bail for her husband at Khajuri Kalan village under Bairagarh police station area on Saturday.
According to the police the victim was sexually assaulted by the accused Bunty alias Sushant Vishwakarma in the month of June and after she was raped accused told her not to report the incident to family or police.
In her complaint the victim stated that around three months ago victim’s husband was nabbed in charges of illegally selling of liquor and to facilitate his bail she contacted the accused Bunty alias Sushant Vishwakarma who informed her to meet him on June 3, 2016 and when she went to meet the accused she was sexually assaulted at a secluded place and threaten her to keep mum and later after victim’s husband was released on bail and returned home victim told him about the incident and a complaint was lodged with the police.
The victim was aware that the accused was involved in selling of liquor illegally and could help her due to which she approached her but instead of helping her the accused sexually assaulted her.
The police have registered a case under section 376 and 506 of the IPC and section The SC SC and ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act has started further investigation.
Police have started investigation and have claimed that the accused would be quizzed regarding his involvement in the selling of liquor illegally.
