A 36-year-old man was mowed down by a speeding jeep near Nirmal Estate under Misrod police station area on Tuesday. According to the police at around 10 pm when the victim Madanlal Gaur along with family was on his way home, his motorbike was hit by a speeding a jeep and skidded along with the vehicle for few meters.
Victims were rushed to the Noble hospital in Misrod where the victim was declared brought dead while his wife and their 2-year-old child are under observation. The condition of the victims remains critical as victim’s wife and son remained unconscious till afternoon.
Both mother and son were kept under observation and the doctors have claimed that they condition could not be termed as stable. A Mahindra Scorpio jeep which hit the victim’s motorbike is being searched by the police.
The family used to live in South TT Nagar area and the victim used to the work as an automobile mechanic in TT Nagar area. The police have registered a case under 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
Victim’s in-laws live in Seoni-Malwa and after meeting them the victim along with his wife and son was on his way back to home when his motorbike was hit by a speeding jeep in the BRTS lane in Misrod area.
Death was caused clearly due to the negligence of the driver who escaped after hitting the vehicle and is still at large but the police have not booked the errant under death caused due to negligence.
