A 35-year-old woman who sustained burn injuries on July 8 died while undergoing treatment at Hamidia hospital on Monday; deceased got injured at her house at Damkheda under Kolar police station area.
According to the police the deceased Shivkumari sustained injuries at her house and was rushed to a nearby hospital and later referred to Hamidia hospital where she died on Monday.
In the initial investigation it was found that the deceased sustained burn injuries due to a chimney which could be investigated. After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem and a case under section 174 of the CrPC was registered.
The reason of the fire could not be ascertained and would be investigated. The statements of the family members are yet to be recorded which could help in the investigation.
Meanwhile, a 23-year-old girl committed suicide by hanging with the ceiling at Godwari apartment under Kolar police station area on Monday.
Police said that the deceased Pramila Singh was found hanging and was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was declared dead. In the initial investigation no suicide note has been found which could reveal the reason behind the suicide.
The body was sent for the post mortem after the preliminary investigation and a case under section 174 of the CrPC was registered.
The details of the deceased would be investigated in the further investigation which could help in revealing the reason behind the suicide.
The post mortem report is awaited.
