A case of dowry harassment was lodged with Koh-e-Fiza police by a 32-year-old married woman on Wednesday against her husband and in-laws. The accused family owns Bagh-O- Bahar marriage garden.
According to the police, the victim Zeenat Khan was harassed by her husband and in laws demanding money. The victim alleged that she was brutally beaten by her husband.
SP Bhopal (North) Arvind Saxena said that the victim has lodged a complaint regarding atrocities by her husband and his mother and father.
The three used to harass the victim and based on the complaint a case was registered against them.
The investigation has been started in the case and the accused would be questioned in the further investigation, he added.
The victim had claimed that huge amount of money has been provided in the past to her husband and his family but still her husband and in-laws used to harass her demanding more money and she was assaulted frequently by her husband.
Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police registered a case under section 498 A, 294, 323, 506 and 34 of the IPC.
The father-in-law of the victim owns a Bagh- O- Bahar marriage garden in Khanugoan area.
The father-in-law of the victim Anwar Khan, mother-in-law Faizana Khan and husband Fahad Khan have been booked by Koh-e-Fiza police. Till the filing of the report no arrest has been made in the case.
