Sensation prevailed inside DB Mall after a 32-year-old married woman died after falling from the third floor of the mall in the afternoon on Monday. The family members claimed that she fell down accidentally, while the police are investigating whether it was a suicide.
According to the police, an injured woman was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was declared dead. SHO MP Nagar police Sanjay Singh Bais said that the deceased was identified as Renuka Mittal of Nariyalkheda. The deceased was a housewife while her husband Sanjay Mittal runs a garment shop in lakherapura area.
The family members have told the police that the deceased fell accidentally and denied that she had committed suicide. The deceased went to DB Mall with her 6-year-old daughter and left her daughter at Amoeba gaming zone for toilet but she fell and died. The incident took place around 4.30 pm. The deceased is survived with her two daughters, he added.
Providing further details Bais said that in the initial investigation the family members have claimed that the deceased fell accidentally but it could not be ascertained at the moment that it was an accident or she committed suicide.
After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem. The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
