A 32-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by consuming poisonous substance at his Nariyalkheda residence under Gautam Nagar police station on Thursday.
The deceased has been identified as Mahesh Kumar and was found him in an unconscious state at his residence by his relatives at around 10 pm. Kumar was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, however, he was declared dead.
The deceased used to work with a private contractor and live at Nariyalkheda in a rented apartment.
Reason of the suicide remains unknown and the family has expressed ignorance over the reason behind the suicide.
However, police suspected that the family might aware about the reason but they are not providing any detail which would be investigated.
The post-mortem report is awaited which could help in providing details of the reason behind the death. The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
Meanwhile, an unidentified body of a man in the age group of 35 years was found at Kaliasot Dam under Khajuri police station area on Friday. locals spotted the body in the morning and informed the police.
