A 30-year old youth was mowed down by a speeding jeep near Ashima Mall under Misrod police station area in the night on Monday; errant driver was nabbed by police and seized the vehicle.
The deceased identified as Ashok Meena was hit by a speeding jeep while he was trying to cross road. The locals rushed the injured to hospital where he was declared dead.
The incident took place late in the evening. The jeep drive was speeding and lost control over the vehicle and mowed down Ashok.
The deceased sustained multiple injuries which caused his dead. After the preliminary investigation the bodies were sent for the post mortem.
The police have registered a case under section 304 (A) of the IPC. The deceased was hit at around 9.30 pm when he was on his way to temple in the area.
Ashok was a resident of Ganesh Nagar near Ashima Mall. The driver identified as Sandeep Maran was arrested while his jeep was also seized by the police in the investigation.
Meanwhile a 22-year-old married woman committed suicide by hanging with the ceiling at his house in Berasia area after having fight with the husband on Monday.
Police said that the deceased Sana Khan committed suicide at her house in the evening. She was rushed to nearby hospital where she was declared dead. In the initial investigation the family members told police that deceased had dispute with her husband and used to fight frequently with him.
On Monday, the deceased was found hanging with the ceiling. The deceased was alone at the time of the suicide and her husband found her after he returned. Body was sent for the post mortem after the preliminary investigation. The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and started further investigation.
