A 30-year-old man was found dead under mysterious circumstances at Nehru Nagar area under Piplani Police Station in the wee hours on Sunday. According to the police, at around 5 am on Sunday victim Babulal Makoria was found in an unconscious state with an injury around his neck.
He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead. On Saturday, after the victim along with his relatives went to sleep, in the wee hours the family members spotted him in an injured state. In the initial probe it was found that the victim’s throat was silted by a sharp edged weapon. No other injury marks are visible which could establish the victim’s struggle. Police said that there is possibility the victim had gone out of his house and was killed outside and was dumped at his house. The victim used to work as a sweeper on contract basis with the BHEl. The other contractual sanitation worker and the contractor under which the victim used to work would be questioned told the police. Family members are under the scanner. After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem. A case under section 302 of the IPC was registered by the police and further investigation has been started. The victim is survived by his wife and four children.
