A 30-year-old man died while another escaped with injuries after their motorbike was hit by a speeding truck near Essar petrol pump under Parwalia police station area late in the evening on Sunday.
According to the police, two men who were injured after their motorbike was hit by a truck were rushed to nearby hospital where one of them was declared dead while condition of other injured is critical.
The deceased was identified as Arvind Raikwar. Deceased used to work at TVS showroom in Lalghati.Police said that the accident took place when the errant truck driver was speeding from wrong side and the bikers failed to save from the truck and collided head on with the truck.After the preliminary investigation body was sent for the post mortem. The police have registered a case under section 304 A of the IPC and have started further investigation to search the errant truck driver who escaped leaving the truck.
Parwalia police are not aware of the details of the accident and have started investigation. The detail police have provided was the truck details which was of Rajasthan while other details are under investigation.
The injured is identified as Avinash Batham who also works at the same firm where the deceased used to work. The condition of the injured youth is critical and is under observation.
Accident took place when the two were on their way home after the work. Search for the errant driver has been started, said the police.
