30-yr old biker dies in collision in city mishap

A 30-yearold man died after his motorbike was hit by a speeding vehicle late on Wednesday night at Bhadbhada road under Ratibad police station area.

According to the police, a man was injured late in the night after his motorbike was hit by an unknown vehicle and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead. later, police were informed and on the receipt of the information a team reached and started investigation.

The deceased was identified as Abhisek Sharma who used to work at a petrol pump. He left the work few months ago and was unemployed. Accident took place at around 1.30 in the night when the deceased was on his way back to home after attending a marriage. The deceased was alone at the time of the accident.

After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem. The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.

Investigation has been started to search for the vehicle and errant driver as the vehicle which hit the motorbike remains unknown and after the vehicle is traced  a case under section 304 A of the IPC would be registered.

Police said that it  could not ascertained that the deceased was in an inebriated state or not  as the post mortem report is awaited and after receiving the post mortem report further details could be shared.
