Panic prevailed at Indra Sahayta Nagar after two miscreants opened fire at a 30-year-old man on Saturday; victim escaped with bullet injury in his leg in the attack, Gautam Nagar police have started investigation.
According to the police, Sonu alias Aftab and his aide opened fire at Sadiq Ali injuring him in his leg and was rushed to nearby hospital where he was operated and is reportedly stable.
SHO of Gautam Nagar police MK Mishra said that the reason behind the attack as miscreants are absconding. The victim was attacked who works as mechanic. The victim and miscreants are acquainted. A case under section 307, 34 of the IPC and started investigation.
The accused attacked with the intention to kill but victim managed to escape the attack and got injured.
Search has been intensified for the absconding accused. Details of the accused would be investigated.
