A 30-year-old man was killed when the motorcycle he was driving in was hit by a speeding truck hit near Puttha Mill under Hanumanganj police station area on Thursday.
The victim Ashok Rajak, a resident of Railway Colony, was on his way back home when his motorbike was hit by the speeding truck (MP 15 G 1535). The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead. Police have registered a case under Section 304 (A) of the IPC and have started searching for the errant driver. Meanwhile, a 45-year-old man, who consumed poisonous substances on Wednesday, died on Thursday night at Hamidia hospital.
Police said Mahesh consumed poisonous substances on Wednesday after an altercation with family members and was rushed to the Hamidia hospital where he died while under going treatment.The reason of the suicide still remains unclear . The victim was a resident of Chandbad and used to work as daily wage labour. The financial condition of the family was not good, told the police.
The police have registered a case under Section 174 of the CrPC and have sent the body for the post mortem.
