Dejected over fight with wife, a 30-year-old man committed suicide by hanging with the ceiling at his residence at Indra Nagar under Teelajamalpura police station area on Tuesday.
According to the police Santosh Veshdaikar was found hanging late in the night and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead. The deceased used to work as a labour at a private construction site and was habitual drinker. He used to fight with his wife.
Police said that on the night of the incident deceased returned home in an inebriated state and had a fight with the wife and later enraged over the fight committed suicide. During the investigation police have not recovered any suicide note.
After the preliminary investigation, the body was sent for the post-mortem.
The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation. The family members would be questioned which could help in the investigation.
Meanwhile, sensation prevailed in Sainik Colony area in Bairagarh after a body of a youth was recovered near railway tracks in the afternoon on Wednesday. According to the police, a man in the age group 30-35 years was found dead and after spotting the body police were informed by the police.
In the initial investigation, police said the identity of the deceased was not established and more information regarding the death would be revealed after receiving the post mortem report. The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
