A 30-year-old youth was found dead under suspicious circumstances under Sukhi Sewania police station area on Wednesday, injuries in his head suggests that youth was murdered, claimed the police.
According to the police tension prevailed in Shyampur village after a youth was found in an injured state and when he was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead. The deceased was identified as Jitendra Thakur of Karond who used to work at TT Nagar.
Police were informed after locals spotted a youth in an injured state near a culvert in Shayampur village and on the receipt of the information a police team was rushed to the spot and started investigation.
After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem. The police have registered a case under Section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
CSP Ayodhya Nagar Rashmi Kharya said that the deceased went missing after he left for his house in Karond after celebrating birthday of his daughter at Bharat talkies area at his in-laws house and later he was found dead in Shyampur village.
Police received information at around 11 am and the deceased was identified by a motorbike which was recovered from the spot and when the owner of the vehicle was traced he told the police that the deceased was using his bike, she added.
Investigation has been started and at the moment reason behind the death could not be ascertained as the post mortem report would be provided on Thursday said police.
In the initial investigations injury marks were found on the head of the deceased which suggests that the deceased might have been killed.
