Panic prevailed at Rangmahal talkies square after three masked miscreants opened fire at a eunuch in the morning on Wednesday; the victim was shot thrice.
According to the police the victim identified as Mili was on her way to Rangmahal Sqaure she was stopped and fired thrice by three masked miscreants and escaped the spot.
The victim was rushed to Hamidia hospital where her condition is reportedly stable.
In the initial investigation police found that the victim was over a motorbike when miscreants obstructed her way and opened fire.
The accused missed two shots while he victim sustained serious injury in her chest on left side by the third fire made by the miscreants.
The police have intensified the search for the accused.
Police said that the reason behind the attack was old enmity over collection of money from different areas of the State Capital.
During the investigation police found that two groups of eunuch met a deadly clash a month ago and the attack was repercussion of the clash.
After the clash two persons were arrested and are serving jail.
The police have registered a case under sections 307 and 34 of the IPC.
The victim was rushed to Hamidia hospital and was later referred to Noble hospital in Misrod where he was discharged after the treatment, said police.
Police told that the search for the miscreants has been intensified.
The miscreants were masked. The CCTV cameras installed in the area would be investigated in the further investigation.
