The Bhopal Crime Branch nabbed three miscreants who were engaged in illegal transportation of liquor at Dangi Dhaba in Bangrasia and recovered 4 cartons of country made liquor from their possession on Sunday.
Police said that after receiving tip-off regarding miscreants involved in transporting liquor illegally crime branch team reached the spot and nabbed the accused and recovered liquor.
Nabbed accused were identified as Arun Vanshkar, Yasin Khan and Sunil Baithe. Yasin and Sunil are residents of Raisen while Arun is resident of Misrod.
The three were carrying liquor and other important details regarding the source from which they have obtained the liquor and where it was scheduled to be delivered would be investigated as the strict vigil to curb illegal transport of liquor has been done rigorously which has been increased in the lockdown.
Police have registered a case under section 34(2) of the Excise Act was registered and further investigation has been started.
Meanwhile excise team had nabbed a bootlegger from Baba Choraha and recovered illegally transported 30 cartons bottles liquor worth over Rs 40,000 on Wednesday.
According to the official acting of a tip a man identified as Dhan Singh Raghuvanshi was detained from Baba Choraha on Sunday and when they were searched 30 cartons were recovered from their possession which was kept in his house.
The officials said that the accused have liquor and failed to produce license regarding the liquor. A case under section 34(2) of the Excise Act was registered and further investigation has been started.
